| RED OAK MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH BELIEFS |

- We believe that the church is a living organism and that it is the noblest and best organization in the world. It furnishes the best example of righteous living, the finest specimen of character, of which the world has any knowledge; it exercises the largest influence in the work of reform; it promotes honest, progressive, and beneficial government; and, more than any other thing, it makes and maintains the home as a place of virtue, love, righteousness, brotherly kindness and sacred honor.
- We believe that the Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired; that it is a perfect treasure of heavenly instruction; and that it has God for its author, salvation for its end; and truth without mixture of error.
- We believe that there is one and only one living and true God, an intelligent, spiritual, and personal being. The creator, preserver, and ruler of the universe, infinite in holiness and all other perfection, to whom we owe the highest love, reverence and obedience.
- We believe that the salvation of the sinner is wholly of grace through the mediatorial office of the son of God, who by the Holy Spirit was born of the Virgin Mary and took upon himself our nature, yet without sin, who honored the divine law by his personal obedience and made atonement for our sins by His death.
- We believe that Christian baptism is the immersion in water of a believer in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost, to show the forth, in a solemn and beautiful emblem, our faith in the crucified, buried and risen saviour, with its effect in our death to sin and resurrection to a new life; that it is a prerequisite to the privilege of a church relation and the Lord's supper, in which the members of the church, by the sacred use of bread and wine, are to commemorate together the dying love of Christ, preceded always by solemn self-examination.
