JJ Rockmore
Pastor of Red Oak Missionary Baptist Church
Rev. JJ Rockmore serves as the pastor of Red Oak Missionary Baptist Church, where he is committed to faithfully preaching the Word of God, leading with humility, and helping people develop a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. With a passion for discipleship, servant leadership, and community outreach, Rockmore strives to build a ministry where individuals and families can grow in faith, discover their purpose, and experience the love of Christ.
Pastor Rockmore assumed the role of senior pastor in 2025, stepping into a divine calling after years of guidance from his father, the Rev. H.C. Rockmore, Sr. The transition marked a powerful passing of the torch from father to son, reflecting a true testament to trusting the Lord. Throughout the process, God instilled an undeniable purpose in Rockmore to take the helm of the church, honoring his family's legacy while stepping boldly into his own pastoral ministry.
Taking after his father, Rockmore holds a deep love for the youth. A primary focus of his leadership is ensuring that Red Oak remains a safe, welcoming community where young people can grow spiritually and personally. His overarching goal for the church is to continue its growth and impact by instilling a strong, unshakeable foundational faith in its members.
As Rockmore’s vision is to see Red Oak Missionary Baptist Church continue as a Christ-centered ministry that impacts generations through biblical teaching, authentic worship, meaningful fellowship and compassionate service. He is dedicated to equipping believers to live out their faith both inside and outside the church walls while sharing the hope of the Gospel throughout the Longview community.
Rockmore is blessed to serve alongside his wife and their two children. As a family, they are passionate about honoring God, serving others, and encouraging people from every walk of life to experience the transforming power of Jesus Christ. Pastor Rockmore considers it a profound privilege to serve the Red Oak family and welcomes everyone to worship, grow, and connect at the church.
